  1. Mutually Exclusive: Clients cannot receive both coaching and counseling services from the same provider at the same time. This ensures clarity of purpose and appropriate support for your needs.

    • Confidentiality: Both coaching and counseling are confidential services. However, the level of confidentiality may differ based on legal requirements and the nature of the service.

    • Scope of Practice: Coaches are not licensed therapists, and their services are not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Similarly, counselors are trained to provide therapeutic support and should not be expected to provide performance coaching.

    • Emergency Situations: Neither coaching nor counseling is a substitute for emergency mental health services. If you are in crisis or experiencing severe mental health issues, please contact emergency services or a mental health professional immediately.
